Financial Brands Image Library

In December 2017, I began working on a several months long redesign of Bloomberg’s Financial Brands Image Library, a massive image bank of branded content to be used all over Bloomberg’s global materials - brochures, event signage, print ads, digital ads, Financial Brands’ websites, campaigns, and more.
The new Financial Brands Image Library consists of thousands of images. Far too many to design one-by-one. We felt that the most efficient approach was to treat this is an animation/vfx project. So I developed a modular system in After Effects, derived from data and images on the Bloomberg Terminal, populated with graphics, particles, grids, charts and financial data, controlled by a set of parameters and randomized in 3-D space. The animation was then captured from a variety of camera angles, frame-by-frame, generating more than 30,000 unique visuals.
In addition to the Image Library, I also created 4k animated ambient loops for each Financial Brand.
